Delivering Impact as an HR Administrator

Unlock your potential and elevate your impact with Delivering Impact as an HR Administrator—a bespoke UHR programme designed exclusively for HR Administrators and Team Leaders. Through four dynamic modules, participants will gain a deep understanding of the strategic context in which their institution operates, explore their personal strengths and communication styles, and learn how to work more effectively within teams. The programme culminates in the creation and delivery of a business case for process improvement, shared with peers in a supportive, collaborative environment. Unlike anything else available at this career stage, this experience is tailored to empower professionals to thrive in their current roles and drive meaningful change.

Following on from the success of this programme in 2023 and 2024, we are now running an additional four-module programme on the following dates (see the full programme details below):

• Wednesday 21 January 2026 online 10am – 2.45pm
• Wednesday 28 January 2026 online 9.30am – 1pm
• Wednesday 4 February 2026 online 10am – 2.45pm
• Wednesday 4 March 2026 face to face (central London venue) 10am – 3pm

Programme Details

Module 1: Wednesday 21 January 2026 online 10am – 2.45pm

Business Understanding including:

• Higher Education context
• Finance
• Student numbers 
• How does planning work
• Importance of data (Sophie Crouchman)  
• Practical Legal Context – importance of contracts, UKVI

Module 2: Wednesday 28 January 2026 online 9.30am – 1pm (delivered by our partner, Develop Global) 

Exploring Your Communication  

• Identify your own preferred communication style and the impact it has on other people.
• Recognise the preferred communication style of others.
• Adapt your own style to better suit those of others.
• Communicate effectively with a group of people when you don’t know what their preference is or if they have mixed preferences.

Module 3: Wednesday 4 February 2026 online 10am – 2.45pm

Strategy, Innovation and Impact

• Understand how the current UK HE Context creates challenges for HR Teams.
• Be able to articulate team purpose and gain perspective on how institutional strategy shapes HR operational activity.
• Use concepts and insights to identify opportunities for innovation against a backdrop of AI and new ways of working.
• Gain concrete takeaways on how to build a compelling business case for proposals that will enable delivery of HR Operations with impact.

Homework 

1. Create a business case for either a process improvement or change to bring to Module 4. 
2. Complete a psychometric test for discussion in Module 4

Module 4: Wednesday 4 March 2026 face to face (central London venue) 10am – 3pm

Making a Case and Making a Team

• Gain experience in presenting a business case for process improvement.​
• Gain an understanding of the impact that psychometrics have on team dynamics.​
• Use concepts and insights to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of team working.​
• Wrap up the programme with confidence and capability to deliver HR Operations with impact.
