CPD Voucher

This academic year, UHR is delighted to provide all member HEIs with £500 to spend on CPD activities of your choice. This one-off allocation can be used for a variety of opportunities – for example, the UHR Conference, the Senior HR Summit in June, or multiple tickets to one of our UHR Connects events in 2025/26 (London, Manchester, or Scotland). It can be used at any time during the year, but must be spent on CPD activities that are completed by 31 July 2026. 

How to spend your voucher?

HR Directors/ Chief People Officers have been sent an email outlining the process and we have included the same information below. Only those advised to do so by their HR Director/CPO should complete the form on behalf of their HEI.  There are two routes to follow to spend your £500:

1. CPD discount processing service – please use this route if you are planning to spend all of your £500 discount on Conference, Summit or a combination of the two. Please don’t use this route if you plan to spend any of your £500 on any of our other programmes. To do this, please complete this survey monkey and following submission, you will receive an email with a discount code to book your tickets to Conference/Summit. An example of this spend is shown below: 

X University (who are a Band 2) would like to use their £500 discount on 1 x ticket for Summit (£180) and then the remaining £320 towards their conference team ticket. They complete the survey monkey above and receive a discount code for both Summit and Conference. They then visit the UHR website and book a Summit ticket adding in the discount code. They book their team conference ticket in the same way and pay the remaining balance of £280 (their team ticket for a band 2 is £600). They have spent their full £500 discount. 

2. Email cpd@uhr.ac.uk – please use this route if you are planning to use your discount against any other CPD programmes such as Connects or Developing Confident Data Partners. You should also use this route if you are using some allocation towards Summit/Conference but are also using some of your £500 on other programmes. To use this route, please email the CPD address above and provide the name of the programme(s), the number of tickets you would like to ‘purchase’ and the names of the individuals who will be attending. You will receive an email within 3 working days to confirm availability and the next steps to complete your booking. You are still responsible for making the booking and a booking is not confirmed until you have booked through our website using your discount code (which CPD will provide you) and receive a booking confirmation. An example of this spend is shown below:

Y University would like to use their £500 discount on 3 x tickets to UHR Connects North (£50 each) and 1 x place on the Developing Confident Data Partners programme (£350). They email the CPD email address with all the details and they receive a reply within 3 working days to confirm availability and receive their discount codes to book. They visit our website and book 3 places on Connects North (total £150) adding in their discount code. They also book a place on Confident Data Partners (total £350) adding in the discount code and no balance is required for either. They have spent their full £500 discount.

Z University would like to use their £500 discount on 4 x tickets to UHR Connects South (£50 each), 1 x ticket for UHR Senior HR Summit (£180), and use the remainder towards their conference team ticket (£1000 as Band 4 member). They email the CPD email address with all the details and they receive a reply within 3 working days to confirm availability and receive their discount codes to book. They visit our website and book 4 places on Connects South (total £200) adding in their discount code. They then visit the UHR website and book a Summit ticket adding in the discount code (£180). They book their team conference ticket in the same way and pay the remaining balance of £880 (their team ticket for a band 2 is £1000). They have spent their full £500 discount.

Key Considerations

• The £500 discount on a CPD event/programme must be used before 31 July 2026. The event/CPD programme of your choice must also be held before this date.
• If you have already secured the budget for a conference team ticket and a place for you and your deputy to attend the Senior HR Summit (Edgbaston, June), you may want to consider spending this discount on other CPD programmes – some of which are available now and some will be launched over the next few months.
• Once you receive your discount codes, this is not confirmation of a booking. You are still responsible for booking your place on the programme/event via our website using the discount code provided. There is a slim chance a programme may sell out in this time. Please contact us if this happens and we can update you on availability of other programmes. This does not apply to Conference as we have capacity for every team to purchase a ticket.
• Costs for programmes we currently have confirmed and available are listed below. This list is not exhaustive, and we may offer further programmes throughout the year according to demand.

Delivering Impact as an HR Administrator (online and 1 day in-person, London): £400+ VAT

Developing Confident Data Partners (online): £350 + VAT
