Developing Confident Data Partners

With data confidence, HR professionals can lead the way among professional services as confident data users and ultimately provide better informed decision making in an inclusive, evidence-based culture.  
 
Strive Higher have designed this programme for UHR members, specifically for HR and people professionals who need to use data in their roles, but who may lack experience or confidence to do so effectively. We know that people analytics is increasingly important in HE and we want to equip you with the skills to excel in your role and boost your confidence in working with data!

Developing Confident Data Partners 

This programme will be delivered online, across two sessions:

Time: 9.30am - 1.30pm on both days

What is this course about?

This programme is designed to give HR professionals the skills needed to use data with confidence in order to:

• Enable better informed decision making in an inclusive, evidence-based organisational culture
• Maintain compliance at a time of increasing regulatory burden
• Strengthen competitive edge using data to diagnose HEI problems and evaluate solutions
• Take a people-centred approach to change management armed with data insights
• Reduce siloes and foster collaboration across boundaries through joint problem solving
• Contribute to strategic and priority goals through applying data skills

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at HR staff who have to use data in their roles, but who are not data analysts or part of data teams. Participants are likely to be Business Partners; HR Advisors or specialists in EDI, Recruitment, Reward or Policy – however the programme is open to everyone! What will attendees leave with?

After the two (virtual) half-day sessions, attendees will:

• Be able to identify data literacy capability requirements and their application across a service
• Understand the data landscape across a service and the roles within it
• Be able to identify the practical tools available to develop these capabilities

• Be able to read data and identify key issues
