Audience
HRBPs or Associate Director level and above wanting to understand or implement workforce planning within their institutions. We recommend that delegates have the backing of their HRD and an intention to implement SWP in their HEI (or, have already started to implement it).
We recommend that more than one function within an HEI is represented on the programme e.g. HR and a Planning or Finance colleague to allow cross functional working on a project within the institution.
This programme is aimed at delegates looking for an action-based programme to support the development of strategic workforce planning alongside the live institutional planning cycle. The CIPD defines workforce planning as:
… a process of analysing the current workforce, determining future workforce needs, identifying the gap between the workforce you will have available and your future needs, and implementing solutions so that an organisation can accomplish its mission, goals, and strategic plan.
The in-depth programme is supported by two standalone sessions “Understanding the Strategic Plan” and “Understanding the HE Workforce” which are optional dependent on delegates current knowledge and experience and can be attended as discrete modules for £100 plus VAT per module - these will need to be booked separately - booking links can be found at Understanding the Strategic Plan and Understanding the HE Workforce
Action learning sets will run during the programme so that delegates can share experiences and gain support from other delegates.
