Over the last several years there has been an ever-increasing trend for HE’s professional services organisations to work together on shared challenges, of which of course there are many. Of course this is something that UHR wholeheartedly supports, and one of the ways in which we are collaborating successfully across the sector is in the new series of ‘University of the Future’ webinars, in which colleagues from our equivalent bodies in university finance, estates, IT, planning and more join together to provide a holistic look at a common task.
Sarah Setchell of the University of Derby represents us in this forum. The most recent session asked ‘What is the cost of sustainability?’ and as the webinar quickly showed, sustainability is fast becoming a challenge faced in every department of every institution: it is no longer ‘a special interest item for estates to fix’, but is increasingly embedded in the thinking of every team including those in HR.
We will continually update this page so that future recorded sessions can all be found on one website page.
At the moment the two films below represent sessions from January and June 2022.
January 2022 - 'The university of the future - are we ready?'
June 2022 - 'The university of the future - what is the cost of sustainability?'
