I know, I know, another Job Retention Scheme article from me...
Whilst new applicants can no longer be considered for furlough, the Government has confirmed an extension will be available to those employees who are currently on statutory maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental and parental bereavement leaves. Once their statutory leave has come to an end and they are due to come back to work, they will be permitted to be furloughed even though they have not been in the scheme before. This is on the basis that their employer already operates the scheme.
Hoping for more details on 12 June.
Any questions, please email me.
